Summary of Position :

The Child and Adolescent Therapist provides trauma-informed, culturally responsive mental health services to children and adolescents with priority given to the clients of the Kewa House Youth Shelter and in the school setting. This role supports the emotional, psychological, and behavioral well-being of youth through individual therapy, group counseling, crisis intervention, and care coordination. Collaborates and coordinates with members of the Kewa Family Wellness Center, Bernalillo School District, BIA Schools, and other teams to ensure high quality care. Additionally, the therapist holds clinical oversight responsibilities for the shelter's Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS), ensuring compliance with New Mexico Medicaid standards and promoting recovery, rehabilitation, and resiliency among clients.
