Procurement Manager – Manufacturing

Join a world-class aerospace manufacturer with a strong legacy in high-precision engineering. This advanced manufacturing facility specializes in the production of critical metal components for mission-critical aerospace systems. The organization is seeking a Procurement Manager to drive strategic sourcing initiatives and elevate operational performance across the global supply chain.

Procurement Manager Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead all aspects of the procurement / purchasing function, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.
  • Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships to meet production schedules and long-term business objectives.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with contractual agreements, quality expectations, and delivery commitments.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen procurement efficiency, reduce risk, and control cost.
  • Oversee procurement budgets, forecasts, and spend analysis aligned with business goals.
  • Proactively manage supply chain risks related to cost, quality, lead time, and availability.
  • Support global sourcing strategies and lead the deployment of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including operations, engineering, and quality to align sourcing strategies with organizational needs.
  • Utilize ERP / MRP systems to manage procurement planning and workflow execution.

Procurement Manager Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Materials Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive procurement or sourcing leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP / MRP systems and advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Experience with international sourcing and VMI implementation.
  • APICS or equivalent supply chain certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is advantageous.
