Material Control Technician

Position Title : Material Control Technician
Location : Buckley Space Force Base, Aurora, CO

Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provides supply operation support for specialized or unique supplies.
- Conducts searches for complex and unusual supply transactions.
- Researches databases to extract data and resolve issues.
- Inputs screening requests to obtain logistics data.
- Consolidates input from different sources for batch input.
- Provides supply support for production and repair operations.
- Responds to specific case requests for additional identification data.
- Reviews requisitions to determine priority supply actions.
- Expedites delivery of urgently required items.
- Coordinates actions with transportation and supply units.
- Determines and establishes new procedures for unique program requirements.
- Writes internal technical procedures and instructs others.
- Determines stock level needs for specialized items.
- Conducts research to locate cost-effective substitutes.
- Completes complex requisitions and prepares reports.
- Identifies and resolves discrepancies for urgent items.
- Researches manuals and regulations for new policies.
- Assembles information into different formats.
- Extracts and compiles data from files and records.
- Compiles and prepares recurring status reports.
- Prepares charts for briefings on supply performance.
- Performs comparative analyses of supply reports.
- Alerts analysts of discrepancies in transactions.
- Performs administrative office support functions.
- Provides guidance to employees on regulatory requirements.
- Conducts on-the-job training for new personnel.
- Conducts quality reviews and develops remedial training.
- Reviews supply system changes and updates procedures.
- Uses office automation software for complex document production.
- Plans and performs complex office automation tasks.
- Develops methods and procedures for office automation tasks.
- Transmits and receives documents electronically.
Knowledge and Qualifications :
