Hospital Manager of Operations, Veterinary Medicine

Uintah Pet Emergency is seeking a highly motivated and capable Hospital Manager of Operations (HM) for our small emergency veterinary hospital located in Colorado Springs, CO.

This individual will take ownership of day-to-day hospital operations, acting with autonomy to ensure smooth, efficient workflows and delivery of high-quality patient care.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone ready to grow into an empowered leadership role backed by the support of divisional leadership and cross-functional colleagues in the support center.

The ideal candidate will bring a clinical background in veterinary or human healthcare, strong operations experience, and a passion for people leadership.

This role is suited for an individual ready to take initiative, make informed decisions, and foster a high-performing, collaborative hospital culture.

Uintah Pet Emergency is part of the Ethos Veterinary Health (Ethos) network of hospitals, and the HM will report into Ethos Field Leadership.

To be successful they will need to build strong partnerships with the local team, including the Medical Director (and Hospital Management team, JV Partners) to support clinical excellence and high-quality patient care.   What’s in it for you?

• Key Responsibilities Envision - Financial Acumen & Creative Vision Oversee hospital financial performance with strong assistance from the Division Leader and Medical Director, tracking KPIs such as revenue, cost control, and profitability.
• Analyze financial reports and implement improvements to align with budget goals and long-term sustainability.
• Manage billing, accounts receivable, payroll, and purchasing with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.
• Create and communicate a clear vision for the future, supporting innovation and adopting best-in-class service practices to improve team performance and patient care.
• Transform - Operational Effectiveness & Alignment Lead all aspects of hospital operations, proactively identifying and implementing workflow improvements that drive efficiency and enhance patient care.
• Collaborate with medical leadership to align clinical and operational processes, improving coordination across departments.
• Maintain oversight of inventory, scheduling, and systems to ensure optimal resource utilization and cost control.
