The Methodist Congenital Heart Institute and Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas seek a visionary physician leader to serve as Medical Director of Adult Congenital Heart Disease and a key member of the leadership team within the Methodist Congenital Heart Program. This dynamic candidate would also be a leader in the international HCA Congenital Heart Collaborative, which includes the programs at Medical City Dallas, Rocky Mountain Children s Hospital, Sunrise Hospital, and Portland Hospital, UK.

This prestigious leadership role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of adult congenital heart care within a thriving, multidisciplinary environment that spans the continuum of congenital heart disease from infancy through adulthood. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic direction, clinical oversight, and continued growth of a comprehensive ACHD program, integrated within a nationally recognized congenital heart institute and robust adult cardiology practice, Cardiology Clinic of San Antonio.

Key responsibilities include :

• Driving clinical excellence in adult congenital heart disease, ensuring seamless transitions of care from pediatric to adult services and maintaining the highest standards of patient outcomes.
• Leading recruitment efforts to attract top-tier ACHD specialists, advanced practice providers, and support staff to build a world-class multidisciplinary team.
• Fostering programmatic growth through innovative service line development, strategic partnerships, and expansion of regional outreach to meet the growing needs of the ACHD population.
• Championing academic and research initiatives, including collaboration with medical schools, participation in national and international congenital heart networks, and contributing to the advancement of ACHD knowledge and care.
• Engaging in business development activities to enhance visibility, strengthen referral relationships, and position the Institute as a leader in adult congenital heart care.
• Participating in the international HCA Congenital Heart Collaborative, contributing to global advancements in congenital heart disease across the lifespan.
