Accounting Manager

About the Opportunity :

Our client, a multi-billion-dollar global manufacturing leader, is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to oversee core accounting operations and lead a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This is a critical leadership role with visibility across finance, operations, and senior management.

As a strategic staffing partner, we're working directly with executive leadership to identify an experienced accounting professional who thrives in complex environments, has a strong command of U.S. GAAP, and is passionate about driving process improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes in compliance with U.S. GAAP.

Oversee general ledger accuracy, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accountants and senior accountants.

Collaborate with FP&A, operations, and plant finance teams on variance analysis and financial performance.

Ensure internal controls are effective and support compliance with SOX requirements.

Support audits, tax filings, and financial system upgrades or implementations.

Identify and drive process improvements to streamline accounting workflows.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred.

6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

Prior experience in a large manufacturing or industrial company (preferably $500M+ revenue).

Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and SOX compliance.

Proficient with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel capabilities.
