Under the supervision of a Project Manager or Line Clearance Superintendent, responsible for clearing trees and vegetation from the power lines to prevent electrical outages and main public safety.

Essential :

• Complies with and ensures compliance with all Tri-M safety policies and procedures.
• Complies with and ensures compliance with all Tri-M employment policies and procedures including standards of conduct and appearance to reflect positively on the Company.
• Effectively manages the requisition, storage and safeguarding all equipment, tools and vehicles.
• Utilizes climbing equipment, ropes, and harnesses to reach and trim branches and trees around power lines.
• Prunes or removes hazardous trees and vegetation that pose a threat to electrical and high voltage infrastructure.
• Conducts pre-climb safety assessments and identify potential hazards in the work area.
• Reads and interprets outdoor electrical distribution system and / or power line drawings.
• Operates specialized equipment including, but not limited to, bucket trucks, chippers and chainsaws.
• Performs routine equipment checks to ensure that tools and machinery are safe and functional.
• Report any equipment issues and assists in coordinating maintenance, as needed.
• Collaborates with all other team members to complete tasks efficiently and safely including, but not limited to, communicating job needs, safety concerns, and instructions clearly often under challenging conditions.
• Participates in team discussions to understand daily objectives and safety updates.
• Train and mentor new team members in safe line clearance techniques.
• Responds to emergency service requests outside of regular working hours.
• Performs all other assigned duties and assists with high voltage initiatives.
• Keeps abreast of new developments and techniques in the line clearance industry.
