A Day in the Life of a Production Specialist at Discovery Life Sciences :
- Complete work orders.
- Cycle count consumable inventory and make orders.
- Package and send off controlled temperature packages.
- Perform quality control testing.
Must-Have Qualifications (Education, Skills, Experience) :
Must Have :
2 years of paid working laboratory experience performing aseptic technique for activities defined by written SOPs1 year of experience in logistics and / or material managementExcellent time management, punctuality, and reliabilityStrong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skillsNice-To-Have :
Bachelor's degree in Biology or other Life ScienceAbility to work independently to achieve daily workload completion with limited / remotesupervisionAbility to manage multiple responsibilities in different functional areasAgility in learning electronic systems and applying complex workflows to perform multiple tasks. Able to read, interpret, and communicate detailed proceduresExperience in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment (including but not limited to automated cell counters, scales, biosafety cabinets, micropipettes, vortexer)Ability to travel domestically for up to two weeks for training.Key Responsibilities :
Utilize aseptic technique in a Biosafety Cabinet to process bulk human tissues per established SOPsPerform quality control (cell counting and viability testing) of produced products and evaluate tested parameters against specifications to determine release for shipmentManage and execute Work Orders, Assembly Builds, Material Transfers, and Fulfillment tasks, including data recording and troubleshooting within Netsuite ERPMaintain consumable inventory (ordering, cycle counting, inventory adjustments in NetSuite, receiving, put away)Manage General Lab, Facility, and Equipment Maintenance (Equipment PMs, Calibrations, repairs, etc.)Perform controlled temperature packaging and logistics activities (scheduling, system entry, labeling) for Commercial (FedEx) and local couriersHandle customer service and vendor managementHandle biological waste disposalPerform other duties as assigned, which may be unrelated to the position described hereCompensation and Benefits :
We offer competitive total compensation packages, with an hourly wage ranging from $22 to $25, depending on qualifications, skills, and experience.
Location and work hours :
