Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT)

Location : West Branch, MI

Start Date : 10 / 6 / 2025

Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : Days, 7 : 30 AM – 4 : 00 PM, 40-hour guarantee

Weekend Requirements : None

On-Call Requirements : None

Position Summary :

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs technical procedures requiring independent judgment and expertise in Nuclear Medicine instrumentation, including gamma cameras (planar and SPECT), PET, radiation detectors / counters, and dose calibrators. The technologist ensures proper radiation safety practices (ALARA), adheres to NRC guidelines, and prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.

Responsibilities :

Inject and administer radiopharmaceuticals, calculate doses, and enter records in the dose tracking system.

Position patients, operate equipment per protocol, and monitor patient responses.

Establish IV access using aseptic techniques when needed.

Perform quality control on all Nuclear Medicine instrumentation.

Apply radiation safety regulations consistently for patient and occupational safety.

Qualifications & Requirements :

2+ years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience – Required

ARRT (N) or CNMT certification – Required

NMTCB certification – Required

BLS (AHA) – Required

Knowledge of Radiology Information System (RIS) and Hospital Information System (HIS) – Preferred
