Job Title : Network Engineer
Location : Traveling to various LAUSD Locations
Duration : 8+ Month Contract
Hours : Typically 2 : 00 pm-10 : 30 pm, may be some AM support but not often
Pay : Varies based on shift and onsite / remote schedule; typical shift is 2pm-10 : 30pm. Base pay range listed below.
Base pay range : $48.00 / hr - $57.00 / hr

Compensation by Shift
- Regular shift - $57.32 / hr W2
- Morning shift - $48.87 / hr W2

Position Details
Location : Travel to LAUSD locations
Active requirements : Must have active CCNA for entire duration of the contract; Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle (driving required)
Position Overview
The Network Engineer I provides IT infrastructure engineering for network and infrastructure upgrades, changes, troubleshooting, relocation and migrations specializing in advanced Cisco and other vendors solutions.
Responsibilities
Assists or leads network upgrade activities at customer sites.Applies software updates and configurations on Cisco routers or switches.Performs quality assurance tests and migration day-1 support for network infrastructure.Troubleshoots issues with wired and wireless network infrastructures.Participates in site surveys. Creates documentation and reports.Required Qualifications
Active Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is requiredHands-on experience with network infrastructure LAN / WAN, Switching, Routing, Wireless, and Enterprise Networking InfrastructuresValid Driver's License and reliable vehicle. Driving is a requirement.Background check required. Customer may require secondary background check. Employment contingent on passing all required checks.Strong customer-facing and communication skills.Ability to lift equipment up to 40 pounds; ability to work safely on ladders up to 8'Nice-To-Have Qualifications
Experience with Cisco Routers (ISR & Catalyst Models), Switches (Catalyst 9K Models), Cisco IOS / IOS-XE and other technical configurations.Knowledge of TCP / IP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, DHCP, DNS, STP, VTP, and DTP.Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks, including VLANs and inter-VLAN routing.Experience with monitoring / management tools (ScienceLogic, Labtech, SolarWinds).Experience with Cisco IP telephony and wireless systems and configuring networks to support these technologies.Additional hardware experience : Cisco legacy Catalyst switches, Cisco firewalls, Palo Alto Firewalls, Alcatel / HP switches, network printers, or other vendors.Seniority level
