Material Handler Position
Join our team as a Material Handler, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials throughout our manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for filling orders, managing inventory transactions, and ensuring all materials are properly identified and stored.
Key Responsibilities :
- Unload and store various materials, parts, or products while conducting necessary bin maintenance.
- Receive incoming materials, verify quantities and part numbers, report discrepancies, and move items to storage.
- Efficiently transport materials between departments following delivery tickets or orders.
- Accurately fill orders from storage and deliver them to designated areas.
- Operate hand trucks to move materials and stack pallets safely.
- Prepare loads for outgoing shipments using hand trucks or pallet jacks.
- Manage Kanban statuses and report any late orders.
- Perform inventory transactions accurately in the G&W business system.
- Conduct cycle counts as requested to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with safety regulations.
- Use resources effectively by using equipment and supplies necessary to achieve job results.
- Support team efforts by training others on material handling tasks.
- Inspect your work before passing it on to the next operation.
- Complete production and quality documentation as required.
Qualifications :
High School diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of work experience and skill development.0-1 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.Ability to safely operate pallet jacks and similar equipment.Proficient in reading and interpreting Bills of Material.Basic to intermediate computer skills are necessary.Able to work effectively and collaboratively with team members.Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience is a plus.Physical Demands :
Medium - Heavy Physical Demand Level as classified by the US Department of Labor.Occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds (with assistance) and frequent lifting of up to 40 pounds.Continuous standing and walking; frequent bending and squatting.Ability to grip, manipulate, and use hand tools appropriately.What We Offer :
