Role Summary
We are looking for a Manager of Quality to lead our Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) operations at our San Angelo, TX facility. In this role, you will ensure that our processes and products meet all regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement and maintaining a high standard of quality across the site.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about quality systems, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional teamwork.
Responsibilities
Quality Assurance (QA) :
- Maintain and improve our Quality Management System to meet regulatory and industry standards.
- Stay up to date with relevant regulations and guide the business on compliance and impact.
- Develop and maintain practical quality procedures based on legal requirements.
- Monitor quality metrics and report to senior management.
- Support teams in understanding and meeting quality expectations.
- Lead batch release processes and ensure all required documentation is completed.
- Oversee internal documentation systems (e.g., SOPs, deviations, CAPAs, complaints).
- Support root cause analyses and oversee the implementation of preventive measures.
- Lead internal and external audits; ensure follow-up actions are completed.
- Serve as the point of contact for audits, inspections, and customer investigations.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and inspection readiness.
Quality Control (QC) :
Oversee all laboratory testing activities to support manufacturing, batch release, and stability programs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.Establish and maintain effective QC processes, including method development, validation, transfer, and lifecycle management of analytical procedures.Ensure proper documentation, data integrity, and audit readiness across all QC activities, including test results, protocols, and reports.Manage equipment calibration, maintenance, and qualification to support reliable and consistent analytical performance.Coordinate cross-functional efforts in investigations, setting specifications, conducting stability studies, and managing reference standards.Support regulatory submissions by preparing and reviewing documentation related to testing, validation, specifications, and stability.Train and guide QC personnel, while continuously identifying opportunities to improve lab operations and industry standards.Competencies

Bachelor's degree in a scientific field such as Biology, Microbiology, or a related discipline is required.Advanced degree (MS or PhD) is a plus.7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or a related role in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience is strongly preferred.Solid understanding of USDA regulations, GMP and quality systems.What You'll Bring
