Role Summary :

This architect will also take ownership of operability concerns, guiding teams to build systems with observability, proactive monitoring, and actionable alerting at their core. They will help define service-level objectives (SLOs), error budgets, and reliability standards across services, ensuring Filevine’s platform meets the demands of enterprise-scale customers. By partnering with engineering, security, and product teams, the SRE / Infra Architect will foster a culture of reliability and provide mentorship on performance optimization and incident prevention. In this way, the architect not only sets the direction for how we build, but also ensures our systems are designed to run smoothly in production at scale.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve cloud infrastructure strategy (with emphasis on AWS), ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and cost-efficient.
• Provide architectural guidance on Kubernetes / EKS clusters , container orchestration, and workload optimization.
• Lead the design and adoption of CI / CD pipelines and related automation for consistent, reliable software delivery.
• Establish and enforce monitoring, observability, and alerting standards , including logging, metrics, tracing, and actionable alerts.
• Partner with teams to define SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets that align with customer and business needs.
• Drive best practices in infrastructure as code (IaC) , configuration management, and automated environment provisioning.
• Support teams in building highly available, fault-tolerant, and disaster-resilient systems across multiple regions.
• Mentor engineers and tech-leads across Filevine on reliability principles, performance optimization, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

Compensation Information :  $180,000 - $250,000

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. The total compensation package for this position will be determined by each individual’s location, qualifications, education, work experience, skills and performance. We believe in the importance of pay equity - the range listed is just one component of Filevine’s total compensation package for employees. This position is also eligible for a paid time off policy, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
