job_description.job_card.job_descriptionPerform routine dental cleanings on patients, including scaling, polishing, and root planing Take and develop X-rays to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning Evaluate patients' oral health and communicate findings to the dentist Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide recommendations for oral health products Administer local anesthetics and nitrous oxide as directed by the dentist Assist the dentist with various dental procedures as needed Maintain patient records and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date Follow infection control procedures and maintain a clean and sterile work environment Attend continuing education courses to stay current with dental hygiene practices and advancements Current dental hygienist license Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well in a team environment Strong attention to detail and accuracy Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and practices Experience with dental software and digital radiography systems preferred
