• Maintains complete and accurate documentation including nursing process and patient progress.\n
• Demonstrates professional practice responsibility and knowledge of policies and procedures.\n
• Responds professionally and courteously to patients, families, and co-workers promoting a cooperative care environment.\n
• Follows National Patient Safety Goals including Universal Protocol and patient identification.\n
• Demonstrates knowledge of surgical patient conditions, procedures, and equipment; individualizes care according to procedure and anesthesia.\n
• Contributes to perioperative team by prioritizing patient care and changes in condition.\n
• Assesses patient understanding of surgical procedures and provides pre- and postoperative education.\n
• Supports timely completion of patient testing and evaluates Pre Admission Testing orders for appropriateness.\n\nJob Requirements\n
• 1 year hospital acute care experience required.\n
• BLS certification required.\n
