Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring at least one year of recent ER experience and an active ND or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
  • Patient population includes all ages presenting to the ER
  • Unit has 11 beds
  • Uses Epic ASAP Module for charting with training provided
  • 12-hour rotating day and night shifts
  • Every third weekend is required
  • Always works with additional staff; never alone
  • No floating to other units required
  • Coordinates total nursing care for patients of all ages using the nursing process
  • Leads patient and family teaching and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team
  • Black scrubs are required as the unit dress code
  • Comprehensive hospital and department orientation is provided

    • Requirements

  • Active ND or compact RN license required
  • Graduation from an accredited RN nursing education program
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent ER experience required
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
  • Cardiac knowledge preferred
