Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Leonardtown, Maryland 20650 (Southern Maryland healthcare jobs)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Start Date : November 3, 2025

End Date : February 2, 2026

Shift : 3x12-hour night shifts (19 : 00 – 07 : 00)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend Coverage : Every other weekend (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule, Friday & Saturday nights)

Unit : Emergency Department (44 beds, 30 rooms, daily census ~120)

Orientation : 36 hours (orientation every Monday)

Scrubs : Royal Blue (not provided)

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1,570 - $1,680

ER RN Job Requirements

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room Registered Nurse experience

Active Maryland or Compact RN license (required at time of submission)

Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS

Proficiency with Cerner charting system

Community hospital nursing experience

Patient ratio experience : 1 : 4-6

Two (2) supervisor references required

Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

First-time travel nurses welcome

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care to adults and children in a fast-paced Emergency Department

Perform triage, assessment, and emergency treatment for a wide range of acute conditions

Administer emergency medications, manage IVs, and provide conscious sedation as needed

Utilize advanced clinical skills : telemetry, ventilator management, ABG and dysrhythmia interpretation

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services

Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR

Participate in ongoing nursing education and complete required modules prior to and during orientation

Adhere to hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols
