Overview

Belmont Abbey College invites applications for the current position of Admissions Counselor . This is a full-time, twelve-month position.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage, plan, coordinate, and participate in all recruitment programs and related activities to connect prospective students and families with the College's mission and educational opportunities.
  • Assist the Director of Admissions in the day-to-day responsibilities of the Admissions office and contribute to the office's vision and outreach strategies in alignment with the College's vision and strategic plan.
  • Manage assigned prospective student cohorts, travel budgets, and travel arrangements.
  • Maintain communication with prospective students on a weekly basis and throughout the enrollment cycle.
  • Coordinate and attend all on-campus recruiting events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree; preferred minimum of 1 year of experience in an Admissions office, sales, or at a college campus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; ability to learn TargetX, Salesforce, and SIS.
  • Public speaking ability.
  • Ability to work odd shifts and travel up to 50% of the time by air or car; sit at a computer for extended periods; lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Commitment to the mission of the College to educate students in the liberal arts and sciences and to support Catholic and Benedictine identity.
  • Understanding of the Catholic approach to education and Pope Saint John Paul II's Ex Corde Ecclesiae.
