Technical Trainer

The Technical Trainer position collaborates directly with HR and Department manager to create, manage, and present an effective Technical Training program.  The program may include soldering, J-STD Certification, ESD, Board Handling, ESD, Basic Skills training including customer specification, exc.

What you’ll do :

• Actively Maintain Certified IPC Trainer status in areas of IPC 610, J-STD, IPC 7711 / 7721 and others as needed
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of PCBA processes and internal processes, policies, and skills to address training needs of manufacturing employees and guide new employee training / orientation programs.
• Continually assess and prioritize internal training, orientation and development programs with Training Team
• Develop and conduct in-house training, orientation and development programs for all needed areas
• Work with internal experts to develop, schedule and conduct employee communications, training, and orientation
• Conduct various pre- and post-employment assessments to determine qualifications and individual training needs
• Develop and implement individualized employee training, orientation and development plans
• Manage certification and training records using software, online processes or manual processes where needed
• Develop and manage relationships with vendors to provide external training programs and resources
• Research industry needs, standards and best practices to report needs and suggest enhancements
• Track and report individualized, group and company training and development information.
• Manage / create assessments that reflect understanding specifications, drawings of parts, and assembly processes
• Participate in forums, events and meetings in order to develop strong relationships with employees and managers
• Ensure benches, tools and equipment are maintained and in good working condition
• Maintain a clean and highly organized area and perform other duties as assigned.
