Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 3+ Neonatal ICU night shift position requiring Level 1 Trauma and Epic experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in a Level 3 or higher Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
  • Cares for neonatal patient population including critical care and trauma cases
  • Night shifts from 7 : 00PM to 7 : 30AM, 3 shifts per week
  • Utilizes Epic EMR, prior Epic experience required
  • Requires experience in a Trauma 1 setting
  • Assignment duration is 12 weeks
  • Responsible for neonatal assessments, developing care plans, and administering medication with barcode scanning
  • Supports breastfeeding and baby-friendly care initiatives
  • Participates in multidisciplinary rounds and team communication
  • Adheres to a 7-day maximum for requested time off per 13-week contract
  • No travel partners accepted
  • Must provide 30 days advance notice for assignment cancellation
  • Assignment duration at facility cannot exceed one calendar year without a required break

  • Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent NICU experience at a Level 3 or higher facility
  • BLS and NRP (AHA) certifications required
  • Associate’s degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
  • Epic EMR and Level 1 Trauma experience required
  • No local candidates; must live at least 50 miles from facility
