Community Bridges is looking for a full-time HR Generalist in Concord, NH !
We are a non-profit agency founded in 1982 with a mission to advance the integration, growth, and interdependence of people with developmental disabilities within their own communities. Building on the strengths of over 1,100 individuals in the greater Capital Area and their families, we work to identify barriers of access to find creative solutions to develop meaningful community engagement.
The HR Generalist will support a wide range of responsibilities in the HR department. This role will support : recruitment, compliance, employee relations, HRIS, benefits, and wellness. The HR Generalist will ensure that the department head receives support on any aspects the department needs additional aid in. The HR Generalist will serve as back-up for the Recruiter and Benefits Specialist as needed.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or Business strongly preferred
Experience : At least 2 years experience working in at least one discipline of HR required
Compensation and Benefits :
There is a $1000 sign-on bonus for this position - $500 will be paid at the time of hire and $500 will be paid after 6 months in the role.
Please note, sign-on bonuses are for new hires only. Re-hires and transfers are not eligible at this time.Paid Time Off : For a full-time employee working 40 hours a week, 22 days of Paid Time Off is received per year! PTO days will increase over the years based on longevity and there is no waiting period to start using your PTO!
Insurance : Medical, Dental, Vision, 403b with 1% company match, Excellent Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, Employer-paid Short Term Disability, and Employer paid Life Insurance.
Mileage Reimbursement : Employees are reimbursed for approved mileage driven on the clock.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities :
Recruiting
Support full-cycle recruiting through resume review, phone screenings, interview scheduling, sending offers, and maintaining the Applicant Tracking SystemNegotiate job offers and answer candidate questions about compensation and benefits on an as need basisSupport Indeed Smart Sourcing platform to increase cold sourcing and resume review of qualified candidatesAttend job fairs and other recruiting opportunities with the Recruiter as neededHost New Hire Orientation on a bi-weekly basis as neededRun various background checks per the state's regulations including OIG, BEAS, DCYF, Driver's Check, and State of New Hampshire checkSupport creating new hire personnel and medical files, tracking all required paperwork as it is completed prior to their start dateCheck Convenient MD portal for TB test results on an as need basisCompliance
Spearhead I9 audit on an annual basis, ensuring all employees are in compliance with USCIS standardsLead background check audits and renewals in compliance with state regulationsManage HR contributions to internal and external auditsEnsure HR practices and policies follow local, state, and federal lawUpdate policies and employee handbook in collaboration with the department headSupport in maintaining all employee personnel and medical filesEmployee Relations
Conduct employee exit interviews and track feedback in collaboration with the department headGuide management on employee issues, PIPs, and disciplinary actions in collaboration with the department headSupport in employee investigations including discrimination or harassment complaints in collaboration with the department headCreate and send surveys to staff including new hire feedback and annual employee feedbackMaintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and laws related to human resources, employment, and talent managementSupport the alignment of company values and culture with employee behaviors, supporting a positive work environment and effective communication between leadership and staffHRIS
Maintain HR documentation, personnel files, and update employee recordsAssist adding new hires to HRIS systems, including : employee information, payroll, and time card accessCollaborate with Recruiter to add in new hires from the PDMS team to HRIS systemsBenefits & Wellness
Manage vendor relationships and use company contacts to educate employees about company benefits, in collaboration with the Benefits SpecialistAssist in creating staff accounts and send emails to newly benefit eligible employees via Employee Navigator on an as-need basisDeactivate employees from Employee Navigator effective their termination date on an as-need basisRespond to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, contribution amounts, and other general inquiries.Lead the scheduling and planning of employee events with HR Manager including but not limited to benefits, wellness initiatives, and holidaysCollaborate with the HR team to determine wellness events and materials for employeesRequired Skills :
