VDI Sr. Systems Administrator

We are seeking a VDI Sr. Systems Admin for a long-term contract assignment working on our W2 with our Austin, Texas client. You must live in Texas, preferably within one hour of Austin, and be able to work on-site when needed. Requirements : Minimum of 5+ Years of experience.

• Azure Expertise : Proficient understanding of Azure services, particularly those related to Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.
• Virtualization Skills : Experience with virtualization technologies, such as Hyper-V or VMware and hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD / VDI) for deployment, configuration, management and support.
• Networking Knowledge : Understanding of networking principles and how they apply to virtual desktop environments. Specific knowledge of ports and applications required for traversing agency firewall configurations.
• Windows Server : Familiarity with Windows Server operating systems and their integration with Azure.
• Application Server : Familiarity with SCCM / OSD and Intune / AutoPilot for systems Management and provisioning.
• Security Understanding : Knowledge of security measures and best practices for securing virtual desktop environments.
• Troubleshooting Skills : Ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to virtual desktop performance and connectivity.
• Scripting and Automation : Proficiency in scripting languages and automation tools to streamline administrative tasks.
• Collaboration : Effective communication and collaboration skills, as the role often involves working with other IT professionals and departments.
• Continuous Learning : Given the evolving nature of technology, a commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on the latest Azure and VDI advancements.
