This is a full-time, on-site role for an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner - Neurology, located in Winchester, VA. Winchester is in the heart of the historic and beautiful Shenandoah Valley.

Compulsive, empathetic, motivated Nurse Practitioner to join my privately owned neurologic practice- Neurologic Associates PLC - which is rapidly growing. We treat general neurology patients , however, being a strictly outpatient practice see far less stroke than is typical. We have a special interest in Multiple Sclerosis , neuromuscular disorders, Myasthenia , Epilepsy, and Sleep disorders. We have a full array of diagnostics on site including EMG / NCV, EEG, infusion center, and sleep laboratory. We are one of only 125 sites nationwide to have infused the novel Alzheimer's treatment Aduhelm and have developed a growing Alzheimer's mitigation program utilizing anti-amyloid therapies . Previous Neurologic or Neurosurgical experience a desired - but not required. I am passionate about Neurology and my NPs and I love to teach! Our practice currently has 4 nurse practitioners and we are seeking to replace one who is relocating. We use Allscripts EMR. Our practitioners see patients from 9am to 5pm with an hour lunch at mid-day. No nights , weekends or call is required! The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing comprehensive neurological care to patients, including conducting assessments, diagnosing, and managing neurological conditions - in collaboration with the Neurologist. Documentation is accomplished with the assistance of Dragon. Additional responsibilities include prescribing medications, ordering diagnostic tests, interpreting results, minor procedures including skin punch biopsies and carpal tunnel injections - in conjunction with me as the Neurologist . Additionally, educating patients and their families about neurological conditions and treatments.
