Division : Operations, Consumer Products Division

Location : North Little Rock, Arkansas

Reports To : Operational Excellence Lead

What You Will Do

The Manager of Reliability and Engineering is a critical leadership role within the Manufacturing Network of Excellence, responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize equipment reliability and maintenance effectiveness. This includes managing stockrooms efficiently, supporting Autonomous Maintenance (AM) programs, minimizing breakdowns, enhancing planning and scheduling, controlling maintenance costs, implementing predictive maintenance technologies, and improving the overall performance of the maintenance organization. This role will champion a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the maintenance teams, driving best practices and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. The Sr. Manager will also oversee the development and implementation of technical training programs to upskill the maintenance workforce.

  • Reliability Engineering : Lead the implementation of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) to improve equipment uptime, reduce maintenance costs, and optimize asset lifecycle management. Includes conducting FMEA and developing proactive maintenance strategies
  • Stockroom Management : Oversee efficient maintenance stockrooms, ensuring optimal inventory levels, streamlined procurement processes, accurate record-keeping, and robust inventory control systems
  • Autonomous Maintenance (AM) Support : Provide leadership to AM initiatives, empowering production teams to take ownership of basic maintenance tasks
  • Breakdown Elimination : Analyze breakdown data, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve efficiency
  • Planning and Scheduling : Optimize maintenance planning and scheduling to maximize wrench time and minimize production disruption
  • Maintenance Cost Control : Develop and manage the maintenance budget, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize spending
  • Predictive Maintenance : Lead the implementation of predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis)
  • Maintenance Organization Development : Evaluate and improve the structure and effectiveness of the maintenance organization
  • Mechanic Accountability : Foster accountability with clear performance expectations and regular feedback
  • Technical Training : Develop and implement training programs for maintenance personnel, staying current with industry best practices

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For :

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in a technical field strongly preferred; equivalent experience and certifications considered
  • Experience : 8-10 years in a technical role within manufacturing, with a track record of leading and developing technical teams
  • Leadership : Experience in managing and developing high-performing maintenance teams
  • Job-Specific Skills : Knowledge of packaging equipment operation and reliability-centered maintenance; PLC programming, machine analysis, root cause analysis; strong leadership and communication; ability to manage multiple projects
  • Technical Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Office and CMMS
  • Physical Requirements : Ability to work in a manufacturing environment (noise, moving machinery, varying temperatures); ability to stand, walk, climb stairs; ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Preferred Certifications : CMRP, CMfgE, Six Sigma (Green / Black Belt), or related certifications
  • Packaging Technologies : Experience with packaging equipment relevant to cosmetics operations
  • Regulated Industry : Experience with FDA / GMP regulations
  • Project Management : Experience managing complex technical projects
  • Lean / CI : Experience in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
