GEM Service is seeking a Building Automation System (BAS) Specialist II to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of building automation systems to optimize energy efficiency, improve comfort, and enhance building performance.
Job Responsibilities
- Inspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans, specifications, and detect malfunctions.
- Determine operational status of systems and ensure proper installation of components.
- Review plans, specifications, and design to understand project scope.
- Perform point-to-point verification and test components for proper functioning.
- Diagnose, test, and analyze performance of system components and assemblies.
- Operate standard or specialized testing equipment and ensure sensor location and functionality.
- Create images for wiring diagrams, designs, and system dashboards.
- Present designs and reports to customers or design committees for approval and discuss required modifications.
- Discuss and troubleshoot heating or cooling system malfunctions and recommend preventive maintenance procedures.
- Adjust system controls to meet GEM standards and ensure optimal performance.
- Record and report time, materials, faults, and deficiencies on work orders.
- Complete customer service and expense reports.
- Provide sketches for changes in field design as directed.
- Instruct individuals on proper tool operation and effective implementation of ideas.
- Mentor team members throughout the workday and suggest efficiency improvements.
