Job Summary and Qualifications Seeking a Patient Care Technician for our practice will deliver high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. What you will do in this role :

• You will be under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), and will assist the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the PCT's skills / training and the needs of the Department.
• You will consistently assist the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment.
• You will promote consistent, positive patient interactions that advance the agenda of unparalleled patient service.
• You will demonstrate caring and empathy in all interactions and advocates for patient- and family-centered approach in all decisions and actions.
• You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, including active listening. Ensures patients, physicians, and colleagues have a clear understanding of all communications.
• You will engage in evidence-based best practices that enhance the patient experience, including SAFETY rounding, communication fundamentals / AIDET, Teach-Back, Narrating Care, etc.
• You will participate as an active member of the health care team and positively promotes the rest of the team to patients / families / caregivers and other colleagues.

Qualifications :

Riverside Community Hospital is a large acute care facility with 517 beds, established in 1901. It has the most extensive Emergency Room and Level I Trauma Center in the Inland Empire region and is the primary recipient of STEMI (heart attack) cases in Riverside County. The hospital is accredited as a Chest Pain Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center and has a HeartCare Institute that offers both invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures. Riverside has a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, which it is very proud of.
