Working knowledge of computers. Ability to prepare and present accurate reports. Ability to perform heavy manual labor and to work in all weather conditions. Strength and dexterity necessary to perform all required tasks, including lifting, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Availability for call in emergencies. Availability to work additional hours during peak operating times. Certification or ability to obtain certification in CPR and first aid. Required to purchase and wear standard uniform.
The Farm Interpreter is responsible for the care of interpretive animals and maintenance of the facility and equipment.
Pay Rate : $14.50 per hour.
Major Duties / Specific Tasks
- Assist with implementation of interpretive program : plan and present educational programs; plan and prepare exhibits and other interpretive and educational materials.
- Assist with management of interpretive animals : provide necessary feeding; ensure the health and safety of animals; maintain and develop animal health records.
- Perform proper NOVA Parks business policies and procedures.
