We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer to join our San Antonio office. The ideal candidate will bring a collaborative mindset and a strong technical foundation, with the ability to contribute across a broad range of civil engineering disciplines. This is a great opportunity for a mid-level civil engineer looking to grow their career through exposure to a wide variety of project types in both the public and private sectors, including work with federal and DoD clients.

This hybrid position is based in San Antonio, Texas with an expectation of working in the office two days per week. Travel is anticipated approximately 10 percent of the time.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Perform initial and ongoing civil engineering design for multidisciplinary projects.
  • Conduct technical reviews and prepare documentation with critical analysis and solutions to resolve design or field issues.
  • Develop and contribute to field reports, internal correspondence, and sections of formal project reports, under the guidance of senior engineers or project managers.
  • Support proposal development and project scoping by working with vendors, preparing scopes of work, collecting bids, and coordinating with subcontract administrators.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineering staff.
  • Conduct engineering calculations and collaborate with project managers to develop accurate estimates of labor hours and costs.
  • Support compliance with project safety plans, adhering to company and site-specific safety standards.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is required; eligibility to sit for the Professional Engineer (PE) exam is preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey technical information.
  • Experience working with federal or DoD contracts and understanding of related standards and expectations.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated team player with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Willingness and ability to travel periodically as required by project needs.
  • Must be eligible to work legally in the US.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience preparing and writing technical studies and formal reports.
  • Proficiency in pavement and / or traffic design is highly desirable.
  • Experience developing cost estimates using RS Means or similar estimating tools.
  • Knowledge of stormwater design, environmental impacts, and permitting processes.
  • Familiarity with civil site work in federal, military, or government contexts is a plus.
