Manager Of Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management
The Manager of Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities within Sourcing and Vendor Management team in both US domestic and offshore locations. The ideal candidate directs and coordinates all activities of the business concerned with sourcing activities such as sourcing road map, requirements gathering, RFP development, sourcing execution, contract negotiation, managing staff, preparing category plans and assigning specific duties to team as required. The candidate will also have good communications skills to interface with executive leadership, and staff members as necessary to coordinate organization's financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency. The candidate will establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, procedures. The candidate will locate, select, and procure merchandise for resale, representing management in purchase negotiations.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Create & provide team with sourcing and spend management procurement strategy
- Develop team members through effective mentoring and career path support, resulting in a high performing team exhibiting a high retention rate
- Educate team members in procurement categories, support in developing a strategic procurement model, and coach to use best practices to drive efficiency, productivity and service level
- Solicit support of business leaders in planning and spearheading enterprise change initiatives & lobby for changes that impact strategic business direction.
- Connect with regional senior management to ensure that procurement strategies, activities and results are made visible aligning according to the business vision and strategy
- Guide & support in activities related to the RFP process including supplier research, RFP creation, submissions, timelines, contract and term negotiation with final recommendation and next steps
- Incorporate sound vendor management strategies to operationalize the commercial relationships and relevant vendor lifecycle management activities (Rebate / MDF, Score Carding, QBR / VBR's, Etc.)
- Engage with business practice area leadership to review and support project and product implementation strategies across designated markets
- Build, track and manage team performance metrics as well as spend and savings reporting and use it as a metric to address & influence the categories of spend
- Negotiate major service and supply contracts within a matrix team environment
- Analyze supply market conditions, assisting the senior and executive management teams in developing organizational and market strategies for growth

Pay Range $110,000 - $130,000
Base pay ranges are estimated. Actual base pay will be based on education, experience, location, certifications, skill set, and any other relevant factors. Incentive / variable pay opportunities are in addition to base pay.
