Overview :
GovCIO is currently looking for a MySQL Database Administrator SME for our Courts proposal. This position will be located in San Antonio, TX.
Responsibilities :
- Under general direction, provides highly technical expertise and guidance in the architecture, design, implementation, support, operation and maintenance of database management systems (DBMS) such as lnformix, DB2, MySQL, and SQL Server.
- Performs data movement, troubleshoots issues, and writes scripts to perform common database tasks.
- Maintains complex databases with respect to JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods.
- Performs installs, configuration, migrations, restores, and monitors the security and performance of the systems are not compromised.
- Provides Tier 2 and Tier 3 support.
- Prepares and delivers presentations on DBMS concepts.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's with 5-8 years (or commensurate experience) in Information Technology, Data Administration, or related fieldsComplete understanding of the general and detailed aspects of the job, and its application.Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives.Works under only general direction.Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects. Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an at-will position and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department / team performance, and market factors.
Posted Salary Range : USD $82,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 / Yr.
