A law firm seeks a Regulatory Attorney in Richmond, VA. The attorney will exercise independent judgment and discretion in performing substantive legal functions for client matters. They will maintain positive client contact and uphold confidentiality. This partnership track position involves client development and may require working independently or under supervision.
Duties
- Maintain state bar membership and complete Continuing Legal Education annually.
- Adhere to ethical requirements and comply with professional liability insurer mandates.
- Conduct discovery of electronic and hard copy data for litigation preparation.
- Review and analyze legal matters to provide representation until conclusion.
- Draft necessary legal documents and follow office procedures for finalization.
- Perform legal research and analysis on complex issues.
- Write briefs for submission to supervising lawyers using various resources.
- Formulate and issue well-founded legal opinions to clients.
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding matter status.
Requirements
Knowledge of SCC regulatory law and legal practice.Analytical skills for complex legal analysis.Interpersonal skills for communication with diverse clients and staff.Ability to travel locally and statewide for client matters.Willingness to work over 40 hours per week as needed.Education
Juris Doctor (JD)Certifications
