As an Advanced Systems Engineer here at
Honeywell, you will play a critical role in the design,
implementation, and management of complex systems and solutions
that drive innovation, safety, and efficiency across various
industries. You will work within cross-functional teams on
cutting-edge projects that transform the way businesses operate.
Your expertise in systems engineering, project management, and
technical guidance will be instrumental in shaping the future of

You will
report directly to our Sr. SW Engineering Manager, and you will
work out of our Clearwater, FL location. This role is eligible for
hybrid work mode, except for the first 90 days.
In this role, you will impact the reliability
and efficiency of our software systems, which are vital to our
operations. As a senior technical authority, you will drive
innovation, quality, and performance in our software
infrastructure. Your work will leave a lasting impact, ensuring
that our software solutions continue to set industry benchmarks and

Key
Responsibilities
Test Software in a lab environment / bench
testing
Elevate and maintain crucial software
infrastructure
Create and maintain
comprehensive software documentation
Create
and maintain technical documentation, including specifications,
change logs, and user guides for software systems.
Qualifications
YOU
MUST HAVE
Bachelor's
degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline
such as the sciences, technology, engineering or
mathematics
3+ years of experience with
software design, coding, unit testing, and debugging.
Proven experience in designing, coding,
testing, and debugging software applications using C, C++, or C#.
Python is a plus.
3+ years in designing and
developing test equipment hardware for various applications. (This
includes proficiency in creating and validating technical
specifications, schematics, and layouts, and ensuring compliance
with industry standards and
regulations.)

Experience with communication busses
Mil-Std 1553, ARINC 429, IEEE 488, RS-422 / RS-485,
Ethernet
Experience with electronic test
equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, analog
& digital I / O, etc.)
Experience with
National Instruments API for controlling PXIe test equipment
hardware
Experience with TestStand for
functional and validation testing
Understanding
of various software development
lifecycle
Knowledge of software configuration
and change management practices
Schematic and
board layout for low to medium complexity test equipment
boards
Wide degree of creativity and
latitude
Effective
communicator
Diverse and global teaming and
collaboration
Individuals who are
self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who
consistently take the initiative to get things
done.
