PICU Travel Nurse Job Details

Location : Hummelstown, PA 17036 (Central Pennsylvania healthcare jobs)

Facility Setting : Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Start Date : November 18, 2025

End Date : February 25, 2026

Contract Duration : 14 weeks

Shift : 12-hour day shifts

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2410–$2580

PICU RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Pennsylvania nursing jobs preferred)

Current BLS and PALS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of recent PICU nursing experience required; 3 years in a Level 1 Trauma Center preferred

Experience at RN Level 4 preferred

Strong clinical assessment, pediatric critical care, and critical thinking skills

PICU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment in a fast-paced clinical environment

Collaborate with physicians, pediatric specialists, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans

Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed for pediatric patients

Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families throughout the hospital stay

Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment in accordance with hospital policies and national nursing standards
