Reliance One, Inc. is hiring for our client for a Production Engineer to help scale manufacturing capabilities and support continuous improvement initiatives. The Production Engineer will plan, coordinate, and deploy resources to ensure high-quality product output while enabling our assembly team to exceed customer expectations. This role reports to the Operations Manager and collaborates closely with Production, Shipping & Receiving, Supply Chain, Technical Support, and Operations teams.

What you'll be doing

  • Continuously evaluate, design, and organize workflow, equipment layout, and space utilization to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
  • Collaborate to identify and resolve manufacturing issues while implementing corrective actions.
  • Design and implement production equipment and tooling; support redevelopment or upgrading of existing equipment.
  • Recommend, justify, and implement CAPEX projects aligned with strategic goals.
  • Work with engineering, technical support, and supply chain to support production readiness activities.
  • Ensure production processes comply with customer requirements, technical standards, quality, and occupational safety.
  • Monitor and optimize production process parameters.
  • Lead or participate in Kaizen events to foster a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Maximize equipment OEE to minimize throughput constraints.

    • Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical) or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience implementing significant CAPEX investments with measurable outcomes.
  • CAD knowledge (AutoCAD).
  • Familiarity with circuit board manufacturing, ESD, and related IPC standards.
  • Training in root-cause problem-solving; Six Sigma certification a plus.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing, including flow, pull, standardized work, KPI deployment, and visual workplace management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all organizational levels.
