job_description.job_card.job_descriptionConduct individualized tutoring sessions to help students master Biology concepts and prepare for the new Biology Regents exam. Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the unique needs of each student. Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support. Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to keep students engaged and motivated. Collaborate with teachers and school staff to foster a supportive learning environment. Bachelor's degree (or currently pursuing a degree) in Science Education, Biology, or a related field. Previous experience tutoring or teaching high school Biology. Fluent in Spanish Familiarity with the New York State Regents exams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates who have been fingerprinted by the NYCDOE are strongly preferred. Job Description : Pay : $32 / hr
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Biology Tutor to join our team in Queens. In this role, you will provide in-person tutoring to high school students during the day, focusing exclusively on Biology concepts and exam preparation. This role requires a tutor who can write and speak in Spanish fluently, as many of the students are native Spanish speakers who are learning English.
Compensation and Schedule :
- Target Launch Date : November 10, 2025
- Program End Date : January 16, 2026 (potential to extend through June 2026)
- Schedule : Two 5-hour days each week
- Pay : $32 per hour
- Pay Frequency : Weekly
