Traveling Project Engineer - Commercial Construction

About the Opportunity : An industry-leading commercial construction company is seeking a Traveling Project Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for a motivated construction professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys problem-solving, and is excited about the opportunity to travel to project sites nationwide.

Responsibilities :

Support Project Managers and Superintendents in coordinating and executing commercial construction projects.

Assist with project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and daily reports.

Review drawings, specifications, and subcontracts for accuracy and compliance.

Monitor project schedules, budgets, and progress to help ensure timely completion.

Coordinate communication between subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.

Ensure safety and quality standards are maintained on all job sites.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).

1–3+ years of commercial construction experience.

Strong organizational and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.

Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Willingness and ability to travel extensively for project assignments.
