About the Job
We are currently seeking a Mortgage Banker to join our Residential Lending team. The Mortgage Banker is responsible for originating residential loan applications primarily sourced through internal bank referrals, working with customers and prospective customers to assist them in identifying and securing a mortgage loan that is appropriate for their individual financial circumstances. This position is critical in assisting Rosedale Bank to achieve the strategic initiatives of increasing consumer and residential lending and meeting the Bank's sales and service objectives. The Mortgage Banker provides guidance and support to Rosedale Bank's retail branch network, serving as a resource for mortgage-related inquiries and product training.
In this position you will :
- Originate and manage mortgage loan referrals generated through the retail branch network, marketing campaigns, online inquiries, or internal referrals, ensuring timely follow-up and conversion.
- Actively support the retail branch network by building strong relationships with branch staff, educating them on mortgage offerings, providing productive sales and services techniques, and serving as a resource for mortgage-related inquiries.
- Conduct borrower consultations to assess financial needs, ascertain their capacity to repay, assess the degree of risk involved and recommend appropriate loan products. Analyze customer's financial status, credit and property evaluation to determine the feasibility of granting a loan.
- Guide customers through the mortgage loan process from application to closing, maintaining communication and ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
- Maintain and manage a pipeline of active loans and maintain accurate records of client interactions and loan progress using CRM and loan origination systems.
- Proactively generate new mortgage business through personal networking, community involvement, and outreach efforts.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly loan production goals.
- Perform consumer loan, home equity line of credit, and home equity loan settlements with customers.
- Cross promotes other services and financial products of Bank to potential and existing customers, as needed.

What we are looking for :
High School Diploma required. Associates degree (AA) or college coursework in a related field preferred.3+ years of experience in residential lending. Experience in a sales capacity strongly preferred.Experience with Encompass LOS preferred.Active NMLS license required.Extensive knowledge of residential loan origination activities and regulations.Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, integrity, and ethical conduct.Excellent communication, attention to detail, organizing, and decision-making skills.Strong interpersonal and customer service skills to work with a variety of internal and external customers.Analytical skills to compare, evaluate, problem solve, and recommend.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Working knowledge of personal computers and related software to include Microsoft Office products.Proficiency in loan origination software and CRM tools.WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
