As a member of our CIM group, working specifically in the excise tax and renewable energy credits group (E / E) you will be responsible for the following job duties which are focused around two core concepts : your technical and quality expertise and delivering excellent client service :

Responsibilities :

• Assist with tax planning and research, as it relates to the excise tax and renewable energy credits within the following areas :
• Federal excise tax (fuel, heavy vehicles, air transportation, manufacturers taxes, environmental taxes, etc.)
• Investment tax credit (ITC)
• Production tax credit (PTC)
• Carbon capture and sequestration credit
• Electric vehicles and refueling property credits
• Renewable fuel credits
• Assist in implementing multiple projects simultaneously, which include client interviews, computations, analysis, data gathering, and coordination of resources
• Assist with drafting opinion letters and writing other technical memoranda
• Develop an understanding of client's business
• Help drive the success of multiple R&D, or federal credits engagements
• Maintain competency through continuing education and obtaining additional professional certifications

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range : $70,400 - $84,000
