Job Summary :
Under the direction of the Nuclear Medicine physicians and Nuclear Medicine Manager, performs theragnostic and Y-90 procedures using diagnostic and therapeutic radionuclides. Responsible for performing all types of PET imaging, providing appropriate patient care for the exams, and administering radiopharmaceuticals specific for PET imaging.

D. Mixes, assays,

and injects various radiopharmaceuticals for diagnosis and / or treatment of disease, with the aid of gamma cameras, computers, processors, dose calibrators, ventilation units, cardiac stress and monitoring equipment, and radiation survey meters.
E.
Maintains
all receipt, dispensation,
storage
and disposal records as required by NRC, Joint Commission, and the State of Missouri.
F. Assists in or performs "Hot Lab" duties : calibrations, assays, surveys, wipe tests, mixing,
deluting
, etc. and documenting all as required by the NRC, Joint Commission, and State Regulatory Agency.
G. Orders
radiopharmaceuticals,
kits
or other supplies.
H. Accepts responsibility and reports for standby call procedures as scheduled; response must be within 1 hour.
I. Assists the Clinical Instructor in supervising and instructing Nuclear Medicine Students in all areas of Nuclear Medicine practice.
