Candidates must have experience on a telemetry unit.

Candidates must be familiar with cardiac drips.

Candidates must possess ACLS and NIH certifications.

Description :

This is a contracted position for a Registered Nurse in Telemetry.

The shift is from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM.

No call is required.

The unit has 34 beds.

The patient ratio is 1 RN to 5 patients.

The team consists of Certified Nurse Coordinators (CNC), Registered Nurses (RNs), and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs).

Nurses on this unit perform various cardiac assessments.

They administer cardiac drips and medications.

They care for patients post-cardiac catheterization procedures, including ablation, pacemaker insertion, defibrillation, and Watchman procedures.

Nurses also conduct acute stroke assessments and perform neuro checks and dysphagia evaluations.

Ideal candidates are motivated, accountable, and compassionate.

Being a great team player and patient advocate is essential.

Scrub color required is navy.

Candidates should be aware of unit guidelines and policies.

This unit values its staff and has permanent positions available.

Applications from travel RNs and local CNAs are encouraged.

Candidates without the mandatory skills will not be considered.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

The unit is equipped with GE Tele monitors, Alaris IV Pumps, and feeding pumps.
