About The Position

Certifications : ACLS and BLS required
Must-Have :
Previous charge experience preferred
Experience in MS / Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Tele, PCU / DOU / IMC / Stepdown
Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Experience with post cardiac procedures such as angiograms, Myocardial Infarction management, and pre / post cardiac surgery care
Experience with IV therapy and phlebotomy, including accessing ports and managing arterial lines
Ability to manage various cardiac and vasoactive drips, including titration when applicable
Experience with neurological conditions, including Cerebrovascular Accidents
Experience with gastrointestinal and genitourinary management, including feeding tube care and hemodialysis
Experience with respiratory management and non-invasive airway management
Knowledge of wound care and isolation precautions
Description :
This position is for a registered nurse specializing in intermediate care.
The nurse will work on a night shift, providing care to a diverse patient population.
Average daily census in this unit is 38.
The nurse will assist in the management of patients with conditions such as chest pain, heart failure, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Successful candidates will float to like units as necessary to meet facility needs.
The position requires working every other weekend.
The nurse will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in Cerner charting.
Experience in a teaching hospital and with Level I trauma is preferred.
All nursing activities will be performed with a strong emphasis on patient safety and quality of care.
The professional must display strong communication and interpersonal skills while working with an interdisciplinary team.
The ability to adapt to changing patient needs and respond effectively in emergencies is essential.
