Job Description

As a Security Guard - Education Unarmed Patrols in Philadelphia, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while your commitment to exceptional customer service and communication will foster a welcoming atmosphere. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and directing individuals as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with campus personnel and local authorities when required to address incidents or emergencies.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs or reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.
  • Support a welcoming and secure environment for all individuals on the premises by providing directions and general assistance as needed.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
