Job Description
Position Overview
- Assist in a wide range of surgical procedures across multiple specialties including general, orthopedic, gynecology, and urology
- Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical field, anticipating surgeon needs throughout the procedure
- Ensure surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are properly set up and maintained
- Participate in preoperative room setup and postoperative turnover and decontamination
- Support patient safety by adhering to infection control and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments in collaboration with circulating staff
