Description :
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes / planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide individualized nursing care to patients.
All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility.
The RN collaborates with other inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise and utilizes appropriate age and population-specific standards as designated in their clinical setting.
The RN cares for patients in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up as patients move along the continuum of care.
Responsible for the planning and coordination of care, patient assessment, patient education, triage, and various other nursing interventions.
Functions within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules.
The RN recognizes the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses as the foundation for nursing care delivery and professional conduct.
Essential functions include adhering to legal regulations and organizational policies when discussing patient health information.
The RN coordinates and manages care for patients, including those with complex needs.
Delivers written and oral communications that engage participants, respond to their questions and concerns, and produce specific outcomes.
Effectively delegates and supervises based on the state's practice act and an understanding of responsibility, authority, and accountability.
Establishes and maintains productive working relationships within and outside of their area.
Offers effective feedback to patients and family members regarding health.
Performs age-related patient assessments and nursing interventions.
Responsible for promoting a safe environment for patients, families, staff, residents, and visitors.
Works collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary healthcare team to provide the best outcomes for patients.
May float to similar medical surgical and telemetry units within the facility.
Ratios are typically 1 : 4-5 on days and 1 : 5-6 on nights.
Dress code requires navy blue scrubs.
Cancellation policy allows the client to cancel up to 12 hours every 13 weeks.
Utilizes EPIC for charting.
