Healthcare Consulting Associate

Requirements
VMG Health is looking for a Consulting Associate for our consulting / strategy service. Candidates for a Consulting Associate should also have an interest and / or background in building their financial skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Support client engagements as part of project team in one of our three practice groups
- Participate in VMG’s professional education and development activities (e.g., Orientation, Lunch & Learn Sessions)
- Work in a collaborative, team-based environment
- Contribute to all aspects of engagements in a meaningful way
- Interact with clients
- Actively participate in client meetings and presentations
- Travel to client sites on an as-needed basis (travel typically amounts to less than 20% of work time, so our Analysts don’t live out of their suitcases)
- Supervise staff on some engagements based on growth in proficiency and experience
- Assist in conceptualizing, researching, and writing firm publications
- Support VMG’s general marketing and business development efforts
- Participate in, and occasionally lead, VMG’s internal learning efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS :
A genuine interest in consulting for hospitals / health systems, provider contracting organizations, health plans, and other health service companiesA strong desire to develop expertise in one of our service lines (planning, finance, or compensation)A quantitative and detail-oriented skill setEstablished proficiency in use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPointExcellent writing and verbal communication skills.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
