Overview

Field-facing buyer supporting on-site electrical construction. Youll own day-to-day project procurementquotes, POs, deliveries, and expeditingfor time-critical installs. Youll work shoulder-to-shoulder with superintendents and PMs to keep materials flowing and the schedule protected.

What Youll Do

Source, quote, and purchase electrical construction commodities : pipe, wire, conduit, switchgear / gear, lighting, and power distribution equipment .

Coordinate material takeoffs, validate counts against drawings / specs, and align buys to installation sequences.

Issue RFQs, compare bids, negotiate pricing / terms, and place POs; track releases and delivery dates.

Stage and sequence deliveries with the field; resolve shortages, substitutions, returns, and warranty issues.

Maintain supplier relationships; monitor on-time delivery and jobsite material KPIs; expedite as needed.

Keep procurement logs current in ERP / trackers; support submittals and closeout documentation.

Be present in the fieldwalk work areas, meet foremen, and adjust plans in real time.

Requirements

3+ years buying electrical commodities for construction or distribution .

Working knowledge of electrical construction materials and how theyre used in the field.

Strong RFQ / negotiation, PO execution, expediting, and vendor management skills.

Ability to read plans / specs / schedules and align buys to project milestones.

Proficiency with spreadsheets and procurement / ERP tools.

Comfortable in a jobsite environment and partnering closely with field operations.

$110,000 - $130,000 a year
