Project Specialist - Community Planner / Strategic Planning

Job Summary : The Project Specialist - Community Planner / Strategic Planning (Consultant) drives the development of community-focused strategic plans by applying process improvement and reengineering methodologies, emphasizing culturally sensitive stakeholder engagement and data-driven planning, particularly with Navajo and Indigenous communities. This role facilitates modernization efforts and knowledge transfer to support project objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

• Apply process improvement and reengineering methodologies to conduct modernization projects, including activity and data modeling, developing modern business methods, and identifying best practices for community planning.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops, focus groups, and public meetings, using culturally appropriate methods to gather input from Navajo and other Indigenous communities, and provide training or knowledge transfer.
• Conduct research and analyze demographic, economic, and spatial data using GIS tools to inform strategic plans, ensuring alignment with Indigenous community needs and values.
• Define and research target audiences, develop culturally relevant messaging and strategic plans, and collaborate with the creative team to ensure messaging aligns with community priorities.
• Track and analyze outcomes of community engagement and planning efforts, assessing performance measurements to evaluate impact.
• Develop marketing strategies and plans with strategic partners, suggesting researched enhancements and identifying new opportunities to strengthen community engagement.
• Prepare sections of reports and presentations that communicate strategic plans, ensuring cultural sensitivity and alignment with project objectives.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure deliverables meet quality and cultural standards for project outcomes, creating and assessing performance measurements.
