Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM

Experience :

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
• 3 months of experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

Requirements :

100 miles from facility to be submitted.

Housing in ME becomes more expensive in the summer months, beginning in May. Be sure to confirm you are comfortable with housing options before applying.

Roles requiring state licensure only : License should not expire within 45 days following start date

Travel Pairs : If you are in a relationship, EMMC will not schedule you on the same days. If you are not in a relationship, you can be scheduled for the same days if not on the same shift / unit. Managers will not guarantee the same schedule for travel pairs.

Required Skills / Experience : Cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone), Insulin drips, Heparin drips - training available from charge and educator

Reading / Interpreting Rhythm strips

Trach care, Chest tube management, General Medical Surgical skills (wound care, IVABX, Drain / tube management, IV starts, central line management, etc.)

Preferred Skills / Experience : Previous charge experience

Preferred Credentials : EKG interpretation

Unit / Facility Details : Level II Trauma Center

Parking : Free in designated areas

Shift & Scheduling : Weekend Rotation : Every Other Weekend

Call Required : None

Floating Requirements : Will float as often as needed to any area with Med / Tele patients (within or below scope)

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays : 01 / 01 / 2025, 11 / 27 / 2025, 12 / 24 / 2025, 12 / 25 / 2025, 12 / 31 / 2025. Number of holidays allowed off : 0
