About The Position

Job Title : Behavioral Healthcare Provider 1

Profession : Behavioral Healthcare Provider

Shift : Day

Hours per Shift : 7 : 30 AM - 3 : 30 PM

Experience : Minimum years of experience required

License : Must hold at least one of the following :

• Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II (LCDC II)
• Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC)
• Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)
• Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
• Licensed Social Worker (LSW)
• Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor III (LCDC III)

Must-Have :

Description :

Provide alcohol and drug counseling and ancillary services to inmates on assigned caseload.

Complete intake assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge planning for inmates.

Coordinate with other treatment services to create individualized treatment plans.

Monitor attendance and participation of inmates in substance abuse programs.

Review case files and manage termination of program participation.

Provide continuing care planning and intervene in crisis situations.

Develop and coordinate substance abuse programming for inmates as assigned.

Facilitate group sessions and support meetings.

Conduct self professionally and in a law-abiding manner in accordance with applicable standards of conduct.

Participate in program quality assurance activities, including peer utilization and clinical record reviews.

Attend seminars and conferences as required.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of public relations, agency policies and procedures, counseling, interviewing, and social sciences is required.

Skills in word processing, equipment operation, and ability to recognize and respond to challenging conditions are necessary.

Must be able to prepare meaningful, concise, and accurate reports.

Ability to gather and classify information about data and individuals is essential.

Developing a good rapport with inmates and / or patients is crucial.
