As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading company in the tech, media, and telecom industry, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with site personnel and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and communication in a dynamic environment. Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTimeWed10 : 00 PM - 06 : 30 AMThur10 : 00 PM - 06 : 30 AM

What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

Monitor and control access to designated areas within technology and media facilities, verifying identification and credentials as required.

Provide exceptional customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with entry procedures and security-related inquiries.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.

Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious activity.

Follow established security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and client requirements.

Assist with emergency response activities, coordinating with on-site personnel and first responders as needed.

Maintain clear and accurate records of access logs, incidents, and daily activities according to established guidelines.

Communicate security-related observations and / or concerns to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and client contacts.

What We're Looking For :

Availability across various days and shifts

Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements :

A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.

At least one year of security-related experience is required.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Experience working in limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
